A lot has happened in the past months. In early 2013, I was hired into the job I started in November 2012 due to the previous employee (my sister) having left. Since I had covered the position during sick and vacation leave, it made the most sense that I take over the position, so I left the IT position in the department.
As a result due to the less flexible hours of the job, I had to stop going to the Web Programming class I was taking at the UW. It was unfortunate, but I was proud and happy with what I was able to accomplish in that class. It is a shame I couldn’t finish it.
In February, I started dating my boyfriend. At the end of the school year, he finished his Masters Program in Accounting with a focus in Audit. Over the summer he studied for his CPA exams and passed all of them. I am very proud of what he has accomplished.
The company that he had interned at in California, had offered him a job. He moved to California in October 2013. In November 2013, I followed him to California. I am now in the process of finding a job.
In December, my Uncle lost his battle with brain cancer. He was an amazing man right up until the end. His friends and family will honor his memory.
I often feel like not much happened quantity wise in 2013, but the impact of what happened was monumental.
Here’s to hoping for bigger and better things to happen in 2014. I’ve already made a YouTube video of when I streamed an art piece I did some time ago, started working on my webcomic, and hoping to work on many more projects this coming year.
I hope everyone had a fantastic year in 2013, and to let you all know that 2014 will be even more wonderful.
